Although we’re recognized worldwide as one of the best porting vendors, we’re more than just a bunch of cross-platform devs. Our team includes over 700 professionals specializing in Development, Art, Quality Assurance and Localization.

We provide functional, compliance, localization and compatibility testing, translate and localize games in more than 35 languages, offer co-development, porting remastering services and also deliver 3D graphics, character and concept art.

We offer first-class services to the biggest players in the video game industry – EA, Capcom, Warner Bros, CD PROJEKT RED, Activision and BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment among many others. We work on the biggest gaming platforms, state-of-the-art technologies and games powered by Unreal Engine or custom engines. Our History

2023

2023 is now in the rearview mirror, marking the end of a remarkably productive year for our team of over 800 QLOCdragons, with a record-breaking number of projects. The QA department invested nearly a million hours in functional testing and almost 16 thousand hours in language testing, contributing to 149 projects, including Mortal Kombat 1, Cities: Skylines II, Ghostrunner 2 and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty. Our localization team was equally diligent, completing 253 projects, translating 43 million words into 37 languages, and handling 15 recording projects. They can boast of working on titles such as Lords of the Fallen, Xenonauts 2 and Hogwarts Legacy. The DEV department proudly added 16 more titles to its portfolio, featuring noteworthy ones such as Mortal Kombat 1, Dying Light 2 Stay Human: Bloody Ties and Wanted: Dead. Additionally, our art department caught the wind in its sails, creating several new trailers, artworks, and acquiring new projects. As we conclude our 14th year, we’re thrilled to have played a part in shaping unforgettable gaming experiences for our partners and gamers all over the world.

The year 2022 was another difficult year in general but it was yet another great year for QLOC especially from a business point of view. Our 800+ team spread across Poland (Warsaw & Gdańsk), Ukraine and the United States exceeded expectations for our clients once again! Our dev team oversaw the release of nine completed or ongoing projects including Gotham Knights, Gunfire Reborn, Blacktail and Dying Light 2. Our incredible localization team translated 46 million words into 34 different languages to release 278 projects this year including Elden Ring, Marvel’s Midnight Suns, and Need for Speed Unbound. Additionally, our QA team conducted nearly a million hours of functional QA testing in addition to over 8000 hours of localization testing for 84 released or ongoing projects, such as The Witcher 3: Enhanced Edition, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, proving once again our QA team is the best of the best! While we are proud of the work we did for our clients, we are even more proud of our employees who showed their incredible compassion and support for our friends in Ukraine by providing humanitarian aid as they faced and continue to face an unimaginable situation. Additionally, our company and its Management Board donated 1 million PLN for humanitarian aid.

In 2021, we kept the pace. While still adhering to sanitary restrictions and the highest standards of safety rules, we have completed 267 Localization projects with great titles like Disco Elysium, Deathloop and Guardians of the Galaxy. We did 65 Quality Assurance projects, including Back 4 Blood and Hitman 3. We also completed 10 Development projects. We optimized the brilliant Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice for the next-gen Xbox Series X|S consoles and we supported Square Enix in creating the NieR:Automata™ BECOME AS GODS Edition – PC edition. We also supported the Yakuza series with a team of over 50 people, optimizing 6 titles for PC Steam, PC Microsoft Store, Xbox consoles and the Amazon Luna streaming service. It is also worth mentioning that in 2021, as a part of the QLOC Wellness initiative, we launched two editions of Dragothon, a charity event encouraging our employees to be physically active. Last but not least, we provided psychological consultations for those who need more support during the pandemic.

2020

The year 2020 was exceptional in all respects. We had the opportunity to work on unique titles, in some cases on unprecedented level, while taking care of the sanitary rigor resulting from the pandemic raging around the world. In cooperation with Square Enix, we provided Marvel’s Avengers game with text and dubbing in Russian, Arabic and Polish as well as Czech subtitles. 2020 saw also porting TONY HAWK’S PRO SKATER 1+2 to PC, porting RollerCoaster Tycoon® 3: Complete Edition for Nintendo Switch including functional QA and compliance testing support and porting Cyberpunk 2077 for Stadia plus supporting CD Projekt RED with co-development engineers, QA services & art – well over 100 people working on CP2077 in QLOC!

That year started with heavy hitters from all of the departments. In January QLOC devs delivered Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition on all major platforms: PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. In February players followed the bug-less story of Artyom in Metro Exodus thanks to our QA team. April saw the release of three major development projects: Nintendo Switch ports of Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice followed by Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen and PC port of Mortal Kombat 11. The first half of the year QLOC Dragons concluded with a PC port of Yakuza Kiwami 2.

2018 was filled with absolutely exciting projects for our DEV, QA and LOC teams. But nothing spells excitement as much as the May’s release of Dark Souls Remastered for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 – developed by QLOC! Back in April we also opened a new branch office in Gdańsk for our growing Development team. Can’t slow down now!

2017 started with the reveal of our involvement in RiME for PC and Xbox One versions. We are also proud to deliver the Polish translation and voiceovers in Prey, praised in the media for its „zero fakeness”. The QLOC Dragons family grew thanks to new localization office in Moscow. And there was no stopping us after that! October marked the release of Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen port for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 prepared by QLOC. The exciting year topped off with November’s release of Injustice 2 for PC, developed by NetherRealm Studios and QLOC – a port very well-received and critically acclaimed. And what is coming in 2018? We have already started working on a couple of titles for Nintendo Switch and other outstanding projects…

A good film should start with an earthquake and be followed by rising tension. A good year should start with a spectacular project like Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen – the fastest selling Capcom PC game ever! What’s next? Dead Rising (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One), God Eater and Mortal Kombat XL for PC.

Tales of Zestiria was a masterpiece of our texture upscaling magic (also for PlayStation 4). Not to mention Dragon Ball: Xenoverse PC port with 4k resolution support and DmC: Devil May Cry Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4, Xbox One. We also had 9.5 million words translated by our localization team in 2015 only.

In 2014 we added graphic art design to the portfolio of our services. Resident Evil 4 Ultimate HD Edition with smooth 60 fps animation established a new quality benchmark for our porting projects. And by the way, we also did Dustforce for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

PC versions of Street Fighter X Tekken and Devil May Cry HD Collection for Xbox 360 were our next steps in porting. Quality Assurance clock showed over 70 projects. QLOC’s engines ran on full speed!

Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition was our big win in porting and started a new chapter for our Company. In 2011 we also conducted 79 Quality Assurance projects and notable localization projects like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

78 Quality Assurance projects (like Bioshock 2, Just Cause 2, Mafia 2) were a sign of our development but we soon realized the video games industry needs more. We added porting services to our portfolio.

QLOC began as an independent company by offering quality assurance and localization services. In 2009 we realized 60 Quality Assurance projects such as S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of PripyatStreet Fighter IV and Resident Evil 5.
