Unix/Linux System Administrator

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least two years of experience in a similar position,
  • Very good knowledge of Linux systems (especially RedHat, CentOS),
  • Very good knowledge of network services and how to configure them,
  • Good knowledge of virtualization technology.

We are currently looking for a

Unix/Linux System Administrator

Workplace: Warsaw, Poland
Reference Number: IT Admin – Linux

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administrating servers based on the Linux platform,
  • Advanced managing of LAN/WAN networks,
  • Installing, configuring and introducing new functionalities on servers,
  • Assuring a high standard of security and a required level of accessibility of servers and services,
  • Dealing with ICT security incidents,
  • Monitoring system performance and errors,
  • Analyzing new projects in terms of their practical and technical utilization,
  • Recommending possible improvements.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least two years of experience in a similar position,
  • Very good knowledge of Linux systems (especially RedHat, CentOS),
  • Very good knowledge of network services and how to configure them (Apache, nginx, PHP),
  • Good knowledge of virtualization technology,
  • Experience in e-mail servers administration (postfix) and DNS (bind),
  • Knowledge of database administration systems (MySQL, MariaDB),
  • Knowledge of scripting languages,
  • Very high organizational and interpersonal skills,
  • Self-reliance, conscientiousness, meticulousness, responsibility and regularity at work,
  • Ability to work under time pressure,
  • Communicativeness and ability to work in a team,
  • High propriety,
  • Fluency in English (min. B2) and Polish (min. C1) that allows for easy communication in speaking and writing,
  • Degree in a related field.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS

  • Knowledge of the standards and technologies of IT systems protection,
  • Experience in administration of virtualization technology systems,
  • Knowledge of web technologies and application server tuning,
  • Experience in administration of Atlassian products will be a plus.
