MEET #QLOCDRAGONS – Natalia Rama

Meet Natalia Rama, who is our QA Tester.

We asked Natalia some questions about her work at QLOC and more!

Check out her answers below.

What’s your job at QLOC?

I’m a QA Tester. My job is to break the game before normal players (end users) have the chance to do so! I also help with checking game stability. In addition, we sometimes investigate problems to help find solutions to any occurring bugs.

What do you like most about your job?

The most fun part of my work is to see games in their very early state, I can watch them progress and get better with time. I’m also really happy that there’s a lot of people with the same interests as me, so I always have someone to talk to.

What was the most captivating task you had in QLOC?

Every time I join a new project, I’m really stressed to get everything right. It’s very captivating for me, because I really want to learn everything faster, so I do not make any mistakes on the way, it doesn’t always work this way but I’m trying my best.

How many games have you worked on?

So far, I’ve worked on three games and I’m really proud that I could play my little part helping improve those games!

What have you learned from working in QLOC?

Apart from learning what kind of bugs there are and what to watch out for, there’s so many different trainings that our company provides. I’m always learning something new – from courses on how to operate on different gaming platforms to learning how the level design works and/or how to simply improve my work habits.

What would you advise people who think about working in QLOC?

It’s a great idea to join our QLOC team! It’s so much fun testing games and people here are very nice. You will definitely have a great experience.

Which game from the ones you’ve worked on is your favorite?

My favourite one so far is ‘Empire of Sin’ from Paradox! This game suited my interest and it was so fun getting to know every aspect of it, before it actually launched on the market. I have a very weak spot in my heart for RPG games or games with RPG features.

Do you have any special powers?

My special power is that I attract cats and kids to myself. I don’t mind it, especially the cat part!

What do you do in your spare time?

Usually, I do something art related like creating music, drawing or just playing on different instruments. Sometimes, if I’m lucky, I take part in some themed photoshoots – it’s great!

Are you #PCMasterRace or #TeamConsole? 🙂

I’m #PCMasterRace, because every time I’ve put away the controller for some time, my muscle memory just fades and I forget how to properly use it. From the outside looking in, it’s a very funny view because it’s like watching your Grandma trying to learn how to play games…

Enter the title of your favorite game, movie/series and book.

My favourite game of all time is ‘Dragon Age’. I’ve played all the games from the series and I can’t wait for the last one that is coming out soon.

What game would you take with you to a desert island?

If I had PC with me, I would definitely take Dragon Age!

Are there any work-related anecdotes you could tell?

Once, by accident… I sent my Team Leader Hatsune Miku songs… (。・・。)  I was very embarrassed about that mistake but my friends from work had a good laugh about it.
