Meet Magdalena Kania who is our 2D artist.
We asked Magdalena some questions about her work at QLOC and more!
Check out her answers below.
What’s your job at QLOC?
I’m a 2D artist – I work both on client projects and internal company graphics.
What do you like most about your job?
Diversity of tasks – from character design and UI for games to doing roll-ups in Illustrator.
Do you have any special powers?
I can drink a very strong yerba and totally focus for more than two hours (are these considered superpowers these days? ;p)
Which game from the ones you’ve worked on is your favorite?
It’s hard to choose, maybe Ultra Street Fighter? It was one of the first big projects I’ve worked on so there was a suitable level of excitement. I also loved to design DLC characters for Gearbox – this is my favourite part of the job.
What do you do in your spare time?
In my spare time I work on my own children series “Dollicious”. Right now I’m putting finishing touches to the comic book – a first in the series, which will be published both in Poland and abroad. I also try to create graphics tutorials for my page meagolicious.com, but nowadays it’s hard to find enough time. In my real spare time I like to walk in the forest or play Nintendo 🙂
What was the most captivating task you had in QLOC?
I think character design I mentioned earlier. We mostly do gaming ports so such tasks aren’t too common.
How many games have you worked on?
I don’t remember! 😀 I always check Moby Games and have 13 there, but I think there might be more.
Would you like to nominate one of your teammates?
Piotr Michalak – art lead, veteran, Paulina Rygier <3
